This is our game loft - at the end is my office - the top story of the house.
My husband working one level up on the main floor. He framed and did exterior finish, roofing, did the electrical, plumbing rough-in and finish, phones, cable, tile work, cabinetry and all finish work. I helped on weekends and during my time off. Contractors did grading, foundation, septic, trusses, insulation, sheetrock, HVAC and carpet.
Here you see trusses going in - three stories up - you bet we hired young, quick and able guys to do this! There was no way in hell either one of us was going up there and walk around the edges!
Here my husband and youngest daughter get inside the rented lift to install the custom made windows on the second story of the great room. This room is open for two stories.
This was one of those rare days when we had extra help. 90% of the time my husband worked alone with my help on days off and weekends.

The seasonal pond was on the land when we came, we cleaned it up and developed a host of visitors from Canadian geese, summer turtles, cranes, deer, ducks and whatever else comes by for a drink or swim.

The South Deck whips around from the front to the back. You can see we still have some landscaping to do. This is where we'll put the solar panels.
What grandmother cannot resist a picture of her youngest grandchild! Though my children were grown when I realized the dream of a lifetime there is always a blessing to be experienced. Grandchildren are more fun anyway!
